Freshman Year

I don't think I can go any longer without writing at least something about my experience as a Freshman at BYU. I've been home now for a few days and have had a lot of time to think about all the memories, friends, funny experiences, tough classes, and amazing ward I have had these last two semesters. I think I should start at the very beginning...

After a lllooonnnggg summer after graduating from High School, I was counting down the days until I could move down to the dorms. I made the decision to room with someone that I didn't know in order to make new friends. We had exchanged a few emails and pictures over the summer, but I really didn't know how it was going to be living with someone I hardly knew. Move-in day finally arrived and I met Abby Robertson for the first time. After spending a few hours with her, I knew that I had nothing to worry about. Abby is hilarious, brilliant, hard working, spiritual, gorgeous, and the most dedicated person I know! She was and is such an example to me.
In addition to meeting Abby, I was able to become friends with some other AMAZING people. I really lucked out. You'd think that when you put 39 girls on the same floor with community bathrooms and showers, you'd have fights or cliques. I was amazed that the girls all bonded so well and loved doing stuff together.

Another memorable part of my Freshman experience was the sporting events. Although I did not attend as many games as I would have liked, the ones I was able to go to were so fun! I got my sport's pass with my high school friends, which turned out to be the best decision because I didn't get to see them a lot. I also attended a lot of basketball and soccer games with people from my ward. SO MUCH FUN!

The actual school part of the experience wasn't exactly the funnest aspect, but I did learn a lot about discipline and pushing myself. I learned (the hard way) that you can never be too prepared for a test and that there is always something you can be doing for school. I was lucky enough to be able to mix in some fun classes amongst a lot of generals. Fall semester I took Bookbinding, a class where you learn how to make books by hand. SO FUN! This semester I took a sewing class that was really busy, but I learned so much.

Having this time to look back on my Freshman Year has made me so grateful for the whole experience. I felt so blessed to be on a campus where I could feel the spirit and grow spiritually. I made so many lasting friendships and learned so much about myself. I can't wait for a whole new chapter of my life to begin this Fall when I start my Sophomore year.

APRIL

I've decided to create an outfit for every month of the year. Exciting huh?! I'm starting with an outfit for this month, April. I decided to make it bright and sunny to persuade the sun to stop being bashful and come shine down on me. That yellow cardigan makes me so happy!

So this is my friend Caitlyn. She's pretty much famous. She is an amazing singer, songwriter, model, and fashion icon. My favorite thing is to force her to play/sing her newest musical creations. I'm so happy to call her my friend :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Why do these make me laugh?

I think it's time to tell you about my secret hobby. I get a kick out of looking at the background of pictures, especially pictures that were taken in public places. Here are a few pictures that made me laugh. I have taken each one and cropped it to highlight the funny part. ENJOY!!

Bro. Heaston was lurking behind us in the shadows...

Oh Eric Turner...

Becca, WATCH OUT!!

Bro. Heaston inspecting the length of Eric Turner's hair...

I'm sure he has a great personality...

This one doesn't need any cropping. CLASSIC!
